Most of you know I began leading the youth group as of October 1 I feel. very blessed to have the opportunity to work with these teenagers many of whom. I ve known since they were young children I have two teenagers of my own so this. age group and children s and youth ministry is very important to me. I ve taught Sunday school at my home church Fallowfield United Methodist. for elementary age students for three years led music in Vacation Bible School. for five years co directed VBS for five years and assisted in music class for. Wonderful Wednesdays in 2014 16 and again during this year s program. I m a devoted student of the Bible and I spend intentional time in prayer on. a regular basis My primary goal as youth leader is helping these teenagers begin a. relationship or grow in their relationship with Jesus. I serve in music ministry in my home church in our praise ensemble I play. the trumpet And I sing occasionally with our church s choir We plan on beginning. a concert band style praise band this fall with the intention of performing during. select worship services on Youth Sunday and at the Ash Wednesday service. The following Deacon s report was presented by Carol Henegan On October 10 2019 Twelve meals. were distributed to shut ins along with prayer blankets for Frank Fenton and Bill McElhaney There was a. distribution of 250 for assistance to individuals for gas cards and help with bills Preparations are under. way for the Election Day Chili Supper to be held on Tuesday November 5 2019 from 4 6pm and a sign. up sheet is in the annex for help during the day Advent booklets titled Straw for the Manger are being. ordered to pass out to the congregation The Deacons will meet on October 30 to finalize plans for the. chili supper and will hold their monthly meeting on November 6 2019 at 1 pm. The church checking account balance was 12 305 43 as of September 30 2019 All funeral donations. and expenses are being handled through the Deacon s account and the small amount left in the Women s.
